that little engine does not do great up mountain passes but all in all its a great little engine, just did 2000 kilometers in the suzuki and it was really great, on road, off road, the only issue was the mountain pass by Tzaneen. The hybrid is interesting and the fuel economy was not bad at all

I like the Suzuki GV and the GL is more than good enough but I have to say, at a similar price the Toyota UC XR looks better with the black rims. The base model GV looks very standard. One thing you didn't mention is the warranty and service plans. Suzuki wins in this respect. Insurance also likely to be lower. But as per usual, brand loyalty always stands strong with Toyota.

My Honda's consistently was more enduring than any of five Mercedes-Benz I owned, or the 23 in my direct family. Honda just never leave me stranded by the roadside, like all others did. I also built rally cars and understand the mechanical side

What wears me out is a junior journo whining like a CVT about "power" while he drives a 1.5l that has more kW than most 2.5's when I was his age. Please mature.
